Fullback Marcel Reece penned a letter to Raider Nation saying that he has signed with a new team.
Former Oakland Raiders fullback Marcel Reece penned a letter to Raider Nation after recently signing with a new team. Reece has not said which team he signed with.
The fullback is a dying breed in the NFL, but Reece remains one of the best in the business. Reece thanked Raiders fans for their love and support during his seven year career with the Raiders.
To the Nation,
I would just like to take a quick minute to say THANK YOU. Oakland has been home for my family and I for a great 9 years and I would not trade that in for anything. Anyone that knows or has interacted with me knows that I have taken a great amount of pride and seriousness when it came to being a Raider and representing the organization, the community and the city of Oakland. It has been my pleasure to bring you all into my family as we have grown over the greater part of the decade. We have met some amazing people here in the Bay Area and truly believe that your love and support is second to none and for that we appreciate and will forever be grateful for all we have received. I will be moving on to try and help another organization. This has made me hungrier and better than I have ever been with the one objective I have always had on the field… to win a championship and feel the confetti fall. This is not a goodbye, but to the REAL RaiderNation it is more like see you later.
Over his career with the Raiders, Reece rushed for 844 yards and three touchdowns while hauling in 205 catches for 2,105 yards and 12 touchdowns. The fullback was released by the Raiders earlier in the year, but it looks like his love for Raider Nation is still just as strong.
Good luck to Reece with his new team!
