Cam Newton Sounds Off On Tua Tagovailoa After Loss To Packers
The Miami Dolphins lost to another good team on Thursday in the Green Bay Packers by 13, 30-17.
Dolphins quarterback Tua Tagovailoa lost in the cold again but had a decent game, throwing for 365 yards and two touchdowns.
However, Cam Newton wasn't thrilled with Tagovailoa's performance and went off about his lack of arm strength in cold weather during Friday's edition of First Take.
“Tua’s arm strength is exposed in cold weather…the verdict is out when scouting the Miami Dolphins because Tua doesn’t have the arm strength in cold weather," Newton said.
Tagovailoa's struggles in cold weather have been well documented but at least in this game, he threw for over 350 yards and had multiple touchdown passes with no interceptions.
The Dolphins' defense had no answer for the Packers' offense and were in a 21-3 hole at halftime. The Dolphins outscored the Packers 14-6 in the second half but the 18-point hole was too much to overcome.
With the loss, the Dolphins are now 5-7 and are further out of the AFC playoff picture. They'll need to run the table in their last five games if they want to squeak into a wild-card spot.
They'll have a mini-bye this weekend before hosting the New York Jets on December 8. They'll play the Jets twice in their final five games of the season.
