Eagles Reportedly 'In Discussions' For Wide Receiver Trade

The Philadelphia Eagles have been in need for quality receivers for a few seasons now. They could fill that need in a potential trade with the San Francisco 49ers in coming days.
The 49ers have made WR Marquise Goodwin available for a potential trade ahead of the 2020 NFL Draft. San Francisco doesn't have much of a need for the veteran speedster as other younger receivers have emerged in the 49ers' offense this past year.
Niners GM John Lynch admitted on Thursday the 49ers are trying to "find a good home" for Goodwin, making it clear the team intends to trade him this weekend. The Niners could be trying to add a mid- to late-round draft pick.
According to Philly sports reporter Natalie Egenolf, the Eagles are "involved in the discussions" for Goodwin. Here's the latest:
The 29-year-old receiver had just 12 catches for 186 yards and one touchdown last season. But Goodwin can still provide plenty of value to teams around the league - Philadelphia included.
Home-run threats at the receiver position have become essential in today's NFL - just look at the Kansas City Chiefs. A player like Goodwin could help the Philadelphia offense become a much more explosive unit in 2020.
