When Mitch Trubisky went down with an injury against the Minnesota Vikings a few weeks ago, the thought around the league was that he’d miss a couple of games. Well, it turns out that might not be the case.
Trubisky landed awkwardly in the midst of a tackle, falling directly on his side with his arm stretched out in front of him. It forced him to miss the rest of the game and the team’s following contest.
Chicago hasn’t looked awful with Chase Daniel under center, but the team would receive a nice spark with Trubisky back in the lineup, if he plays up to the level we’ve seen in spurts throughout his career.
On Sunday, the Bears host the New Orleans Saints in what should be an exciting NFC showdown. As of right now, there is no telling if Trubisky will be active for that game.
Matt Nagy provided an update on Mitch Trubisky before practice today. He said that the former first-round pick is expected to fully participate in practice.
The Bears will evaluate Trubisky’s status later in the week.
Mitchell Trubisky (left shoulder) will practice today, Matt Nagy said. The Bears expect him to work in full but will evaluate his status during the week.

In the event that Trubisky isn’t cleared to play this weekend, the Bears will have to rely on Daniel.
Nagy is hoping to get his team back in the win column after suffering a shocking loss to the Raiders in London.
