The NFC Championship Game between the No. 1 seed New Orleans Saints and the No. 2 seed Los Angeles Rams is about to get underway.

First, we had the national anthem performance by none other than Jimmy Buffett.

The reviews are in for the performance and, well, they're not great.

Singing live is tough, of course, especially in a gigantic stadium like the Mercedes-Benz Superdome.

Still, NFL fans don't appear to be fans of this performance.

"Thank you, NFL, for reminding us all that Jimmy Buffett is a terrible singer," one fan tweeted.

"Jimmy Buffett singing.... sounds like some guy from down the block could do better," another added.

"Not sure Jimmy Buffett should do the national anthem anymore ... just on vocals Quote from my Mom - 'He knows the words at least,'" one said.

It was an odd showing, to say the least.

Football is here now, though, so everyone can move on.

The New Orleans Saints and the Los Angeles Rams are playing on FOX. The Saints received the ball first and are driving.

The two teams are competing for a spot in the Super Bowl in two weeks, where they'll play either the Kansas City Chiefs or the New England Patriots.
