A late addition to the injury report has New England Patriots fans feeling unsure as the team readies for a game against the Detroit Lions. Rob Gronkowski was added to the injury report on Thursday afternoon.

It's not a great sign for the oft-injured Gronk. According to NFL insider Ian Rapoport, Gronkowski is dealing with an ankle injury.

Gronk practiced on Thursday, but received a "limited" designation.

Here's the new from Rapoport.

Gronkowski dominated in Ne England's first game of the season, racking up seven catches for 123 yards and a touchdown. The Patriots' second game of the year found Gronk up against the vaunted Jacksonville Jaguars defense.

He managed just two receptions for 15 yards. Now, the NFL star gears up for a contest against the Lions - who have been tough against tight ends this season.

New England and Detroit kick off on Sunday night. Stay tuned for more on Gronk's injury moving forward.
