Look: Saquon Barkley's Mom Shares Photo After Surgery
It's been over a month since Saquon Barkley suffered a torn ACL. However, the former No. 2 pick didn't undergo surgery until this past Friday.
Barkley needed surgery to reconstruct his ACL and repair the meniscus in his right knee. The reason he needed to wait over a month to have surgery was because doctors had to wait for the swelling in his knee to go down.
Thankfully, it appears Barkley's operation went well. His mom posted a photo of him on Instagram with the caption "Surgery was a success."
The photo of Barkley shows him giving two thumbs up, which is an encouraging sign for Giants fans.
When healthy, Barkley is one of the most dynamic players in the NFL. In his rookie season with the G-Men, he had over 2,000 scrimmage yards and 15 total touchdowns.
New York is hopeful that Barkley will be ready in time for the start of the 2020 season. Judging off his recent Instagram posts, the Penn State product will attack his rehab with a "Mamba mentality."
Whether or not you're a fan of the Giants, the reality is the NFL is a better product when Barkley is on the field. He's just so fun to watch because he can take the ball to the house at any given moment.
Hopefully, Barkley makes a full recovery from his ACL surgery.
