The Jets Had A Disastrous Start To Their Game vs. 49ers

No Kittle, no problem. Despite missing their top offensive player from the past few years, the 49ers offense got off to about as good a start via the rushing game as a team could possibly have.
On the very first play from scrimmage at their own 20-yard line, the San Francisco 49ers pitched it to running back Raheem Mostert. The blocking scheme was executed flawlessly, opening up a massive hole for Mostert to scramble through.
Then Mostert turned on the jets (no pun intended). None of the Jets blockers were able to even get a hand on the 49ers running back as he took the ball all the way up for an 80-yard touchdown.
The touchdown gave the 49ers an easy, early 7-0 lead. It also shattered the young 2020 NFL season's longest rush, previously held by Browns RB Kareem Hunt.
Defending the run was a big problem for the Jets in their Week 1 loss against the Buffalo Bills. With Jimmy Garoppolo coming off an inconsistent performance, perhaps we'll see the 49ers lean more on Mostert throughout the game.
The Jets followed up that poor defensive effort with an equally bad offensive one. They were barely able to get the ball to midfield before being forced to punt.
If you bet on the 49ers to cover the spread, you look to be in good shape right about now.
