Earlier Wednesday afternoon, Dallas Cowboys insider Mike Fisher reported the team is attempting to trade up in the first round of the 2022 NFL Draft.
"But as of Wednesday, guided by two NFL teams front-office sources, now CowboysSI.com does know," Fisher said. "Our sources tell us that Dallas has been making phone calls in attempts to trade up into the 'top 14 or so,'' one of the sources adding that the Cowboys are 'desperate'' to do and that they have a specific and singular player in mind."
Fisher doesn't know which player the team is targeting, only that they want to make a deal. It didn't take fans long to start reacting to the latest news.
At least one believes the team is targeting former Ohio State star wide receiver Chris Olave.
"i’d bet a lot of money it’s olave," the fan said.
Others are hoping the team trades up in the first round to draft former Cincinnati Bearcats star corner Sauce Gardner.
"Please be sauce!!!" one fan said.
Others don't want the Cowboys to make a deal, regardless of who they want.
"the cowboys are probably just exploring options — possibly alongside options to trade down. i just wish this wasn't an option they'd even consider, given the cost," another fan said.
Will the Cowboys make a deal before the 2022 draft kicks off on Thursday night?
