Travis Frederick, the Dallas Cowboys' fourth-year center, has inked a massive contract extension making him the highest-paid center in the NFL.
Multiple outlets have confirmed the deal, which keeps Frederick with the Cowboys through 2023. The Cowboys had previously picked up the fifth-year option on Frederick's rookie deal for the 2017 season, worth $8.8 million guaranteed.
According to NFL.com's Ian Rapoport, the new deal is worth over $56 million, $28 of which is guaranteed.
This is a great deal for both sides. Frederick is one of the best centers in the NFL, if not the best. He also hasn't missed a start in three seasons.
Frederick was selected to the Pro Bowl each of the last two seasons.
