Dallas Cowboys WR Lucky Whitehead's Dog Stolen, Held For Ransom

A picture of a missing dog.

Dallas Cowboys wide receiver Lucky Whitehead needs help tracking down his dog.

According to Whitehead's Instagram, he was out of town this weekend. While he was away, a close friend was watching his house and his XL Bully puppy, Blitz.

Whitehead's house was apparently broken into, and Blitz was taken. Making matters worse, Whitehead claims the thieves have contacted his phone and demanded ransom in return for Blitz.

Below is the full post from Whitehead:

I've taken some time to collect my thoughts on this subject matter, and it's very heartbreaking to say that Blitz has been stolen from my home last Sunday. While out of town, Blitz was being taken care of by a close friend at my house and someone broke in and took him. Whomever stole Blitz has contacted my phone numerous times, demanding ransom money. I strongly advise you to stop and return my boy safely before it gets any worse! If you know of any details regarding Blitz's whereabouts or who may be involved in this, please contact me immediately. ?

Whitehead has posted numerous pictures of Blitz on social media over the last few months, and the dog even has his own Instagram account.

Hopefully he is returned safely soon.
