Dez Bryant hasn’t played in the NFL since 2017, but the former All-Pro wide receiver isn’t giving up on his career yet. Although he’s not currently on a roster, he plans on returning to the league.
Following his release from the Dallas Cowboys, Bryant signed a one-year deal with the New Orleans Saints. He suffered a torn Achilles during his first official practice with the team.
Bryant spent several months rehabbing from that injury. Instead of retiring from football, the former Oklahoma State star is getting ready to make another comeback.
When asked on Twitter if he’s going to play in the NFL this year, Bryant said “I plan on it.”
This doesn’t mean that a team out there is ready to take a chance on Bryant. However, it does show where his priorities are at.
At the very least, the veteran wideout sounds motivated.

Bryant is most known for his time with the Cowboys. The best season of his career came in 2014, when he finished with 88 receptions for 1,320 yards and 16 touchdowns.
Teams can always use depth toward the middle of the season, so it wouldn’t be too surprising if Bryant is eventually back in the league.
