Earlier this week, the Dallas Cowboys made Ezekiel Elliott the highest-paid running back in the NFL. Jerry Jones and company shelled out a six-year, $90 million deal with $50 million guaranteed.
Elliott passed Los Angeles Rams running back Todd Gurley in overall value and guaranteed money in the deal.
Soon after signing his new contract, Elliott was back on the field with his teammates for the first time in 83 days. The star running back will be back on the field this Sunday when the team faces the division-rival New York Giants.
Before the game, Elliott posted a highlight video with a message for fans – the Cowboys are ready.
Check it out.

Elliott is arguably the best running back in the NFL and now he’s paid like it. With the new deal in hand, he’ll have to build on his success during his first three NFL seasons.
Two of the first three years he led the league in rushing and showed he’s a legitimate receiving threat during the 2018 season. Dallas plans to ride Elliott all the way this season and many analysts are picking the Cowboys to make the Super Bowl.
Dallas opens the season against New York on Sunday afternoon at 4:25 p.m. ET on FOX.
