Ezekiel Elliott Hurdled Yet Another Defender During His Big Day vs. Green Bay

Ezekiel Elliott continued his huge rookie campaign in Green Bay today, and once again, he took flight and made a defender look silly.

Elliott has made the hurdle a trademark move, and today Packers cornerback LaDarius Gunter was Elliott's victim.

Zeke did not reach the end zone against the Packers, but he still had a huge day on the ground. He carried the rock 28 times against the NFL's top rushing defense, and carved Green Bay up for 157 yards. He has now run for at least 134 yards in four straight games.

For the season, Elliott has 546 rushing yards and five touchdowns for the 4-1 Cowboys. He's on pace for 1,747 yards this season. That would put him just behind rookie season record holder Eric Dickerson, who rushed for 1,808 yards in his first NFL season for the Los Angeles Rams in 1983.

Paired with rookie quarterback Dak Prescott, the Cowboys future is extremely bright. Elliott has to be the rookie of the year favorite, and it isn't too crazy to wonder if he can run—and hurdle—his way into MVP discussions if he keeps this up.

The Cowboys beat the Packers 30-16, just the franchise's second win at Lambeau Field. After a bye next week, Dallas hosts the Philadelphia Eagles on October 30.
