Ezekiel Elliott Is Now The Favorite To Win NFL MVP, Per Bovada

Ezekiel Elliott is the favorite to win the NFL MVP award as a rookie at Bovada Sportsbook.

Elliott entered the year as the favorite to win the NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year award. Now, the only question is if he'll take the league's highest prize. Bovada has updated its MVP odds, and Zeke is currently the favorite at +250, meaning a $100 bet yields a $250 payout.

Tom Brady (+275), Matt Ryan (+500), Russell Wilson (+900), Derek Carr (+1000), and Dak Prescott (+1000) are the other favorites for the award. Here is the full list of bettable players, via Bovada:

Ezekiel Elliott is the front-runner to be the MVP.

This is definitely the most interesting MVP field in a while. At the top, you have a rookie running back, a quarterback who missed a quarter of the season serving a suspension whose team went 3-1 without him, a player who probably didn't get selected in a good chunk of fantasy drafts after a few down seasons, and a top QB who has been playing through injury for much of the year.

There's definitely an argument to be made for Brady, but it is hard to disagree with Elliott's place at the top here, especially after his massive game against the Pittsburgh Steelers last Sunday. Elliott ran 21 times for 114 yards and two touchdowns, and caught two passes for 95 yards, including an 83-yard touchdown. More importantly, his two rushing scores came in the last six minutes of the game, with the game winning touchdown coming with just nine seconds left on the clock.

For the season, Ezekiel Elliott has 1,005 rushing yards and nine touchdowns on the ground, and 250 receiving yards and a score through the air.
