Last Sunday, the Dallas Cowboys diagnosed Amari Cooper with a quad injury. Not only did it cut his day short against the Jets, but it immediately put his status for Week 7 in jeopardy.

Cooper is playing on a contract year, which means the Pro Bowl wideout cannot really afford to miss significant time. However, it's starting to sound like he'll miss at least one game this season.

On Sunday, the Cowboys host the Philadelphia Eagles in a battle for first place in the NFC East. Judging off the fact that Cooper hasn't practiced yet this week, it'd be a surprise to see him on the field this weekend.

According to ESPN insider Field Yates, the latest update for Cooper is that he's unlikely to play on Sunday.

Without Cooper in the lineup, the Cowboys would then turn to Michael Gallup to carry their receiving corps. The second-year wideout from Colorado State is having an excellent season.

Another player to monitor on the injury report for Dallas is Randall Cobb, who is battling a back injury at the moment.

Cooper has 33 receptions for 515 yards and five touchdowns this season.

Unless the former first-round pick practices on Friday afternoon, he'll most likely be inactive for Sunday's NFC showdown.

Dallas will reveal Cooper's status for this weekend in the coming hours.
