Kellen Moore was a backup quarterback for the Dallas Cowboys for three seasons. The former Boise State star is now the team’s offensive coordinator.
No disrespect to Moore’s backup quarterback ability, but the former college football standout seems much better suited for coaching.
Moore’s offensive coordinator debut in Dallas was nothing short of spectacular.
The Cowboys’ play-calling was brilliant all game, as Jason Garrett’s team blew out the New York Giants, 35-17, at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas.
Moore has been praised at length for his offensive plan. “This is the best I have seen the Dallas Cowboys offense in my lifetime,” one fan tweeted.
Jerry Jones was impressed, too. The Dallas Cowboys owner had major praise for Moore, singling him out in his press conference.
Moore isn’t getting a big head, though. The former backup quarterback had an awesome response to Jones’ praise.
“Well, he got my name right. They used to call me Keelan. I must be doing something right,” he told reporters.
Kellen Moore, asked how it feels to have Jerry Jones shout out his impressive offense.
“Well, he got my name right. They used to call me Keelan. I must be doing something right.”

If Moore keeps getting the offense to produce like this, Jerry Jones is not just going to know his first name, but his middle name, his neighbor’s name, his dog’s name, his grandma’s name…
