The NFL Players' Association has fired back at Jerry Jones.

Jerry Jones said on Sunday that any of his players who "disrespect" the flag will be benched.

This morning, the NFL Players' Association's DeMaurice Smith has fired back at the Dallas Cowboys' owner.

Smith, the Executive Director of the NFLPA since 2009, released the following statement on Twitter.

While Smith didn't directly reference Jones, it's pretty clear who's he's talking to hear.

Here's what Jones said after the Cowboys' loss to the Packers on Sunday night.

"If there's anything that is disrespectful to the flag, then we will not play," Jones said after the Cowboys' 35-31 loss to the Packers. "Understand? We will not ... if we are disrespecting the flag, then we will not play. Period."

The Cowboys have not had a player kneel for the national anthem.
