Dallas Cowboys superstar guard Zack Martin left tonight's preseason game with a knee injury.

Martin took a low shot from Cincinnati Bengals cornerback Dre Kirkpatrick. He limped off the field, and after some time in the medical tent, was ruled out for the game.

Martin has been an absolutely dominant player for the entirety of his NFL career. He has been selected to the Pro Bwol in each of his four seasons, and has made one of the first two All-Pro teams in all four seasons as well.

If he's out for any meaningful time, it is a huge blow to the Cowboys' elite running game.

Cowboys owner Jerry Jones seems optimistic about the Zack Martin injury.

After the game, he said that he won't be losing any sleep tonight, based on what the team knows so far.

As we know though, nothing is official until a full evaluation.

Elsewhere in the NFC East, we've already seen a quick reversal of fortune on Washington rookie running back Derrius Guice, who is out for the year after his injury didn't seem bad at first.

Martin will reportedly undergo an MRI tomorrow morning.

Hopefully for those of us who appreciate great offensive line play, Martin will be good to go for Week 1.
