Daniel Jones has been one of the lone bright spots for the New York Giants this season. He's definitely made some rookie mistakes, but the potential and talent is hard to miss.

The 2-6 Giants are gearing up for an NFC East Division battle against the Dallas Cowboys on Monday Night Football. The Cowboys look to build a lead in the division while New York hopes to spoil their rival's week.

One of the keys for Dallas is to get pressure on Jones and force him into bad decisions. Cowboys defensive end DeMarcus Lawrence aims to do just that. Earlier this week, Lawrence met with the media to discuss his upcoming game.

He was yet another to compare Jones to Eli Manning. Jones' response was just about what you'd expect.

Here's what he had to say:

"Well I appreciate that. It’s nice of him to say.”

This is what fans have come to expect from Jones. He's a competitive player, but typically keeps to himself and remains positive. His response to Lawrence's comparison is right on cue.

The Giants quarterback is coming off his best game in his young NFL career. Jones threw for 322 yards and four touchdowns while completing 68.29 percent of his passes. He did give up a fumble though.

Jones will look to build off last week's performance on Monday Night Football against the Cowboys.
