Daniel Jones set the NFL world on fire today, as the New York Giants rookie led his team to a win over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in his first NFL start.
The rookie quarterback out of Duke dazzled in his debut, throwing for 336 yards and two touchdowns, adding 28 rushing yards and two scores.
Many were surprised by his performance, as the Giants’ selection of Jones at No. 6 was one of the most-criticized picks in the NFL Draft.
Jones made those critics eat their words today. The former Duke star apparently also surprised his teammates with his words inside the huddle.
“There was a point in the second quarter Daniel Jones went into the huddle and said, ‘Let’s fu***** score!’ Guys were taken aback. Had never seen that side of him, seen him curse,” Jordan Raanan tweeted.
