Earlier Saturday morning, a video appearing to show New York Giants players out partying went viral on social media.

Quarterback Daniel Jones and running back Saquon Barkley were reportedly spotted in the video. A screen recording of the video made the rounds on social media before it was deleted.

It appeared to be recorded in New York City by man who goes by DJ Lugghead. He eventually deleted the video and said it was from 2019.

However, Giants insider Ralph Vacchiano reported the video is from this week. In fact, it did take place in New York on Friday night, but there's a caveat.

Vacchiano reported "Jones and some teammates and friends had dinner in a private room at a restaurant in the city." They then reportedly went to a bar that was closed to the public.

Here's more from Vacchiano.

The Giants released a statement about the incident.

"We are aware of the video that was posted," the team said on Saturday morning. "We are looking into the nature and context of what is on the video."

If the alleged details are true, it's not as bad of a look at it first seemed. Two Giants star players out partying - without masks - during a pandemic isn't a great look for the team.

However, if they were among friends and teammates they've been around recently, it's obviously a different story.

Regardless, going out in public without a mask is frowned upon, especially for an NFL player as the league tries to fit a full season in.
