Odell Beckham Jr. Officially Ruled Active For Tonight's Giants vs. Lions Game

Superstar wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. is making his season debut tonight vs. the Detroit Lions on Monday Night Football.

Beckham Jr. was one of the prominent NFL stars injured during preseason ball, when he took a big shot to the leg against the Browns. The injury was ruled a sprained ankle.

He missed the Giants' opener against the Dallas Cowboys, a 19-3 loss in which the New York offense sputtered to a paltry 233 total yards.

Fear not, Giants fans and fantasy owners. Beckham is active for tonight's game against the Lions, to the relief of those who were scrambling to find a replacement wide receiver in free agency.

It is unclear how much Beckham will play in this first game back, or how effective he will be, but reporters at MetLife Stadium said he looked pretty spry during warm-ups.

Beckham caught a career high 101 passes for 1,367 yards and 10 touchdowns last season. He's had at least 90 receptions, 1,300 yards, and 10 touchdowns in each of his three NFL seasons.

The Giants and Lions will kick off at 8:30 p.m. ET. The game will be broadcast on ESPN.
