New York Giants running back Saquon Barkley is out for the rest of today's game. By the looks of it, he's going to be out a while.

Barkley suffered an ankle injury late in the first half against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. He had to be helped to the locker room and was in obvious pain.

As the second half started, Barkley returned to the Giants' sideline, but on crutches and in a walking boot. He could be seen encouraging his teammates.

Wayne Gallman replaced Barkley in the backfield for the second half.

The Giants haven't officially commented on Barkley's injury other than to declare him out of the game.

By the looks of it from our untrained eye, it could be a high ankle sprain of some sort. If it is, he's going to miss multiple games.

Stay tuned.
