The 2019 NFL season sits just over a week away.

Before the Green Bay Packers and Chicago Bears get the party started next Thursday, all 32 teams will play one more preseason game.

While each team needs to get a final look at who will make the 53-man roster, the starters likely won't receive much playing time.

That will definitely be the case in Philadelphia as the Eagles look to enter the regular season at full strength. The team already received a scare at practice on Tuesday afternoon when star wide receiver DeSean Jackson went down with an injury.

Breath easy, though, Eagles fans - the injury to Jackson isn't severe.

NFL Network insider Ian Rapoport revealed the wide receiver suffered a broken ring finger. He's expected to be ready for the regular season, despite the injury.

The injury will hamper his ability to catch the football, but Jackson should be just fine.

He and quarterback Carson Wentz reportedly developed solid chemistry during the offseason and could provide a formidable duo for the Eagles on the field.

Philadelphia is one of the favorites to come out of the NFC this year and represent the conference in the Super Bowl.

Stay tuned for the latest.
