On Thursday night, the Green Bay Packers hosted the Philadelphia Eagles in what was billed as a potential NFC title game matchup.

The game took an unfortunate turn early in the first quarter when Eagles defensive lineman Derek Barnett hit Packers running back Jamaal Williams in very illegal fashion.

Williams was carted off the field and taken to a local medical facility for further testing. Unfortunately, Williams wasn't the only player to leave on a stretcher.

Late in the fourth quarter, Eagles corner Avonte Maddox suffered from friendly fire when Andrew Sendejo attempted to break up the play.

Medical personnel immediately rushed to Maddox's side and stabilized his head.

The corner was eventually taken off the field on a stretcher.

It's the latest in a long line of injuries in the game tonight.

Star wide receiver Davante Adams left the field at a critical point in the game. After pulling in a reception to put the Packers in scoring position, Adams left the game after grabbing at his foot.

Green Bay had a chance to tie the game and send it to overtime. However, Aaron Rodgers threw a game-ending interception.

Philadelphia walked out with a 34-27 win. The Eagles move to 2-2 with the win, while the Packers fell to 3-1.

Stay tuned for an update on Maddox.
