Jalen Hurts has already earned enough credibility within the Eagles' building that he's persuading the front office to make notable trades.

On Thursday night, the Eagles shocked the NFL world by trading for Titans star wide receiver A.J. Brown. He joins an exciting offense next to Devonta Smith.

Howie Roseman reportedly told NFL insider James Palmer that Hurts was the one pushing for the trade. He had been asking the Eagles about it for a while now. Philadelphia's front office listened and rewarded its current starting quarterback.

Hurts clearly has a big say within the Eagles' building.

"With having a long and extremely tight relationship, Howie Roseman told me Jalen Hurts had been, for a while now, whispering in their ear about going and getting A.J. Brown," James Palmer tweeted.

To acquire Brown, the Eagles gave up the No. 18 overall pick in last night's first round and a third-round pick in today's rounds. The Titans, meanwhile, used that No. 18 pick on a Brown replacement by drafting Arkansas wideout Treylon Burks. He'll be tasked with carrying the burden of filling the void left behind by Brown.

The Eagles should have one of the most exciting offenses in the NFL this upcoming season. However, Hurts needs to take a big step forward in his development for Philadelphia to have a chance in the NFC East.
