Newly-minted Jacksonville Jaguars quarterback Nick Foles will always be a legend in Philadelphia for leading the team to a Super Bowl in 2017. But while Foles has largely remained humble over the past two years, he may have underestimated how well-known he's become.

In a recent interview, LA Lakers legend and renown Eagles fan Kobe Bryant revealed that Foles met him recently and they got a chance to talk. Meeting for the first time, Foles tried to introduce himself to Bryant, which confused the basketball icon.

"Fool, I know who you are!" Bryant told Foles, to the delight of the reporters meeting with him. You can see the interview here:

A journeyman quarterback by the time he returned to the Eagles in 2017, Foles took over in Week 15 for injured starter Carson Wentz. He won enough games to secure the Eagles a top seed in the playoffs, and had some of the best games of his career in the playoffs.

He threw for a combined 971 yards, six touchdowns and only one interceptions in wins over the Atlanta Falcons, Minnesota Vikings, and New England Patriots en route to a Super Bowl LII victory and Super Bowl MVP honors.

But Foles was unable to unseat Wentz for the starting job the following year, and by the end of the 2018 season, the team decided to let him pursue greener pastures.

Foles may not be a Philadelphia Eagle anymore, but to fans like Kobe Bryant, he's a bonafide legend.
