LeSean McCoy added another accomplishment to his impressive resume this past season, winning a Super Bowl with the Kansas City Chiefs. Though he’s nearing the end of his career, the six-time Pro Bowler is on the market and searching for a new home.
In 2019, McCoy had 465 rushing yards and four touchdowns. The main reason Kansas City signed him was because of Andy Reid’s familiarity with the veteran running back.
McCoy’s market this offseason hasn’t been very strong up to this point. Nonetheless, the former Pennsylvania native might be eyeing a return to the Philadelphia Eagles.
On Friday, McCoy posted an old highlight from his time with the Eagles on Instagram. His caption for the post said “PHILADELPHIA = home.”
During his time in Philadelphia, McCoy totaled 6,792 rushing yards and 44 touchdowns.
It appears DeSean Jackson wants to see a reunion between McCoy and the Eagles, commenting on the Instagram post that it’s time for a homecoming.
Philadelphia could use another tailback after losing Jordan Howard in free agency. As of right now, the backfield features Boston Scott and Miles Sanders.
McCoy never burnt any bridges in the City of Brotherly Love, so the fan base would accept him back. It would be a nice reunion for one of the best running backs over the past decade.
