The Philadelphia Eagles beefed up their defensive line this week, signing Ndamukong Suh to a one-year contract.

Suh, 35, had 27 total tackles and six sacks for the Buccaneers last season. At times, he showed that he can still be a disruptor in the trenches.

When asked why he agreed to a deal with the Eagles, Suh revealed that he's pursuing another Lombardi Trophy.

"Championships," Suh said. "That’s what keeps me going."

Suh added that he wasn't going to sign with just any team this year. He prioritized playing for a contender.

“I’m not going to sit here and lie to you and say I’d play for any old team,” he explained. “I want to have an opportunity to go and earn a ring and celebrate that with my family and especially my teammates and the people I did it with. For me, I’ve been able to have amazing accolades just from the standpoint of individual play but it’s more than that at this particular stage of my life.”

Considering the Eagles have the best record in the NFC, Suh did a good job picking his spot.

We'll find out later this season if Suh can make an impact in Philadelphia.
