The Eagles Threw One Of Their Beat Reporters Out Of The Press Box Today

The NFL saved one of its more bizarre stories from Week 17, and it didn't happen on the field.

During the middle of the Philadelphia Eagles' 27-13 win over the Dallas Cowboys, the team ejected one of its beat writers, Jeff McLane of the Philadelphia Inquirer, from the press box.

The reason? Violating the fan code of conduct.

Veteran Eagles writer Les Bowen has some of the play-by-play of what happened, as well as some scathing criticism of the actions of the Eagles PR.

Apparently, McLane and Eagles senior VP Anne Gordon used to work for the same employer. Not saying that had anything to do with this, but it is an interesting connection.

We're sure there will be a lot more coming on this in the next few days. Quite a way to start off 2017 for the Eagles.
