Over the weekend, the Philadelphia Eagles suffered a devastating defeat at the hands of the Atlanta Falcons after Matt Ryan hit Julio Jones for a long game-winning touchdown.

The loss was just the start of the Eagles' problems. Wide receivers Alshon Jeffery and DeSean Jackson both suffered injuries and could miss a few weeks.

Neither Jackson nor Jeffery are expected to take the field for the team's game against the Detroit Lions this Sunday.

In fact, NFL insider Mike Garafolo expects both to be out next week as well. Garafolo suggested if both are back for Week 5 against the New York Jets it would be a "good result."

It's a tough break for an Eagles team that has been beat up over the first two weeks of the season. Philadelphia went through a "walk-through" practice this week instead of an actual practice due to the team's injuries.

Wide receivers J.J. Arcega-Whiteside, Mack Hollins and Nelson Agholor will have to step up for the Eagles this Sunday. Expect tight end Zach Ertz to be hyper-targeted as well in the absence of Jackson and Jeffery.

Philadelphia and Detroit kick off at 1:00 p.m. ET from Lincoln Financial Field. The game will be broadcast on FOX.
