On Thursday night, the second preseason game of the year kicked off as the New England Patriots squared off against the Washington Football Team.
Early in tonight’s game, former Ohio State wide receiver Terry McLaurin gashed the Patriots defense for a long reception. He and quarterback Ryan Fitzpatrick connected on a 22-yard pass play before Washington’s drive stalled.
However, it’s a different former Ohio State star who is stealing all the headlines from the early action. After Washington was forced to punt, star defensive end Chase Young put a swift end to New England’s first possession.
Patriots quarterback Cam Newton dropped back to pass, but didn’t have enough time to get rid of the ball before Young came knocking. The former first-round pick whooped the offensive tackle and forced Newton to fumble the ball.
Check it out.
Chase Young is still that dude

Unfortunately for Young, the Washington Football Team wasn’t able to come away with the fumble. The good news is that it was fourth down after the fumble and Washington was forced to punt.
Young burst onto the scene as a rookie and clearly looked the part of the No. 2 overall pick in the draft.
He’s already off to a hot start this year.
