On Tuesday afternoon, the NFL's trade deadline came and went without any significant moves. Arguably the biggest news of the day came shortly after the deadline closed when Washington Redskins star offensive lineman Trent Williams reported to the team.

Williams, 31, stayed away from the Redskins since July, reportedly upset with the way the team handled a medical issue he endured last season.

Despite his decision to rejoin the team, a Redskins insider suggested Williams had no plans of playing for the team this season.

However, that appears to have changed. According to a report from NFL insider Ian Rapoport, Williams passed his physical on Wednesday morning and the Redskins expect him to practice this afternoon.

"Trent Williams passed his physical today and the belief in the building is that he’ll practice at 1 p.m. today, I’m told. That said, until he walks out there to practice… no one is 100% sure," Rapoport reported.

All of the news coming out of Washington this season suggested Williams would never play another down for the Redskins. However, with this latest bit of news, it seems like there's a possibility he suits up for Washington as soon as this weekend.
