Journeyman quarterback Ryan Fitzpatrick has always been known for these two things: his beard and his fearless attitude. We now know that at least one of those qualities will stay with him for a long time.
During this Thursday’s media session, Fitzpatrick revealed that he probably won’t shave his beard ever again. That’s because he saw how Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce and PGA Tour star Dustin Johnson looked without their facial hair.
“I don’t think I could ever shave again,” Fitzpatrick told reporters. “They [Kelce and Johnson] look like different human beings.”
Fitzpatrick isn’t kidding about Kelce and Johnson looking like different people without their beards. A picture of the clean-shaven major champion went viral on Wednesday. Golf fans were legitimately questioning if the picture was of Johnson.

It’s been several years since we’ve seen Fitzpatrick without a beard. Although he doesn’t look bad without a beard, there’s no doubt that his current look is his best one yet.
Washington Football Team fans are certainly hoping that Fitzpatrick’s production this season will be just as sharp as his beard.
Last season, Fitzpatrick had 2,091 passing yards, 13 touchdowns and eight interceptions for the Miami Dolphins. He was eventually benched for Tua Tagovailoa.
Fitzpatrick won’t have to worry about a young quarterback taking his job from him this year, as Washington’s depth chart is looking pretty thin.
