Washington Football Team defensive end Chase Young wasn’t backing down from a challenge approaching last weekend’s Wild Card game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. “Tom Brady, I’m coming!” he said to the cameras after the team’s Week 17 game, which clinched a date with the legendary quarterback.
After an impressive rookie season, he did not quite reach his goal of getting after Brady on Saturday. He’s credited with three total tackles on the day, but did not register a sack or quarterback hit. Still, the former Ohio State star has the respect of the future Hall of Famer.
After the game, Brady posted a response to a photo of he and Young from the game, saying that the 2020 No. 2 pick has a “bright future.” Now, we have video of a brief post-game conversation between the two.
“Hey, Chase, way to play bro,” Brady says, embracing the young defensive end. Young calls Brady “the real GOAT,” and then asks if he can grab Brady’s jersey from the game. The league is not permitting on-field jersey swaps due to COVID-19 concerns, but Brayd told Young he’d send it to him.

It’s a cool moment between the 43-year old quarterback, who is still playing at a very high level, and the 21-year old Young. It also just further shows just how much respect Brady had around the league.
Obviously Young isn’t the first one to call Brady out during his lengthy NFL career. Few have gotten the upper hand on the six-time Super Bowl winner though.
Chase Young should get a second shot at sacking Tom Brady next year. Washington is scheduled to play the Buccaneers during the 2021 season. Brady is expected to be back for a second year with Tampa, at 44 years old.
The Buccaneers will face the New Orleans Saints in the NFC divisional round on Sunday evening.
