Washington Redskins linebacker Junior Galette got himself into some hot water during a spring break trip over the weekend.
According to TMZ, Galette was tased and arrested during an incident at Black Beach Weekend in Biloxi, Miss. on Friday.
Here are some more details from TMZ:
We spoke with Sgt. Rhodes of the Biloxi Police Dept. who tells us an officer was flagged down around MGM Park for a fight around 10:30 PM on Friday. When the cop arrived to the scene, he claims he saw 6'2", 260 pound Galette punch someone.
Sgt. Rhodes says the cop went after Junior, but we're told the NFL star ran. When the officer caught up with Galette, he used his taser to take down the 29-year-old.
To be fair, we should note that the Biloxi PD told TMZ that the incident was "extremely minor" and Galette was cooperative after being taken down with the taser. He was released after posting bond.
However, this isn't the first brush with the law for Galette. In 2013, while a member of the New Orleans Saints, he was captured on video hitting a woman during a beach brawl, and in 2015, he was suspended for two games for a domestic violence incident.
Galette played the first five seasons of his career with the Saints before signing with the Redskins in July 2015. However, he hasn't played a down over the last two seasons due to a pair of Achilles injuries.
Galette signed another one-year deal with Washington in February.
