Washington Redskins safety Montae Nicholson finds himself in legal trouble today. He has been arrested in Loudoun County, Virginia, per reports.
According to NBC Washington, Nicholson and his girlfriend were arrested early this morning and charged with assault and battery, and drunk in public.
The Redskins have confirmed the news though they haven't commented on it.
A second-year pro out of Michigan State, Nicholson has played in all 14 games for Washington this year, starting seven. He has recorded 41 tackles and one pass defensed.
Nicholson had 24 tackles, two passes defensed and his first career interception in eight games as a rookie in 2017.
We'll update you on this story as more details emerge.
This isn't something the Redskins want to be dealing with, particularly not with the team sitting at 7-7 and facing a must-win game on Saturday against the Tennessee Titans.
