The Chicago Bears acquired Nick Foles via trade with the Jacksonville Jaguars earlier today. This should tell you what the team thinks of Mitchell Trubisky.
At the very least, the Bears want someone to push the No. 2 pick from the 2017 draft and be ready to take over if he falters. At worst, they are already done with Trubisky and are anticipating Foles starting from day one.
Whatever the organization’s opinion is of Trubisky, some of his wide receivers are clearly not that high on him. Cordarrelle Patterson and Allen Robinson were openly soliciting other quarterbacks on Twitter earlier this week.
Patterson tweeted at Tom Brady and Teddy Bridgewater–both of whom are now off the market. Allen Robinson also ‘liked’ a tweet naming Cam Newton the betting favorite to start for Chicago in Week 1 next fall.
Here are the screenshots as proof.
Probably not a good thing for Mitchell Trubisky when his receivers are doing this…. pic.twitter.com/ChXEVyFkrG

For what it’s worth, Patterson is saying he doesn’t mean to disrespect Trubisky with his recruiting efforts.
Why? He’s a baller!

No need for anyone on the Bears to recruit another quarterback now. They have their guy to challenge Money Mitch.
We’ll see how it works out.
