Chicago Bears starting right tackle Bobby Massie is inactive for tonight's Monday Night Football game against the Washington Redskins.

Massie's absence is unexpected. The team did not give a reason why he won't play when it announced its seven inactive players a short time ago.

Massie has started 48 of 50 regular season games for the Bears since 2016, including the first two games of this season.

In addition to not having Massie, the Bears are dealing with an injury to kicker Eddy Pineiro. Pineiro said he tweaked his kicking knee in practice over the weekend.

The rookie kicker was listed as questionable for tonight's game, but is active and will kick.

As for Massie, we'll provide more details on why he was scratched when they are revealed.

Bears-Redskins will kick off at 8:20 p.m. ET on ESPN.
