The Chicago Bears will be taking on the Minnesota Vikings without two of their top defenders. Linebacker Roquan Smith is out.

Smith is a late scratch for Chicago due to an unspecified personal reason. The hard-hitting linebacker is unquestionably one of the Bears' best players.

Run-stuffing defensive tackle Akiem Hicks was also declared out due to a knee issue. This could cause a major issue considering the Vikings have been placing a renewed emphasis on the run game this season.

The Bears and Vikings both enter today's game with identical 2-1 records. The Green Bay Packers are 3-1, while the Detroit Lions are 2-0-1 and giving the Kansas City Chiefs all they can handle right now.

Minnesota and Chicago will kick off at 4:25 p.m. ET.

CBS will broadcast the action nationally.
