Last week, Matt Nagy told reporters in a press conference that he's not an idiot. Well, it appears the fans in Chicago beg to differ.

The Bears entered this weekend highly motivated to move past their blowout loss to the New Orleans Saints. However, the first half hasn't been very sharp for Nagy's team.

Toward the end of the first half, rookie tailback David Montgomery broke free for a 55-yard run. Once Chicago got into the red zone though, the offense suddenly came to a halt.

Instead of running the football when it's first-and-goal from the one-yard line, Nagy decided to dial up a throw that ended up being incomplete.

Nagy then decided to run the football, but it took place from the shotgun formation. The offense ultimately had to settle for three points.

Despite all the talk about Nagy fixing Chicago's woes on offense, it's pretty evident that there's still work left to be done.

As a result, there are a plethora of people criticizing Nagy for his play calling.

Chicago has 219 total yards through two quarters of action today, but the offense has to stop settling for field goals.

The second half has just resumed in the Windy City. We'll see if Nagy can have can improve his play calling down the stretch.
