The Green Bay Packers opened their season with a road win over the Chicago Bears. On Sunday, Aaron Rodgers will lead his team into battle against the Minnesota Vikings.
Unlike years past, the Packers didn’t need an outstanding performance from Rodgers to defeat their opponent. Mike Pettine’s defense held the Bears to just seven points in their season opener.
As Rodgers prepares for the team’s home opener, he shared a request to all the fans that will be at Lambeau Field.
“My only ask is that we don’t do the wave when we’re on offense,” Rodgers said.
It’s not the most unusual request from Rodgers. In fact, Peyton Manning and the Colts used to remind their crowd to stay as quiet as possible when on offense.
Considering how beloved Rodgers is in Green Bay, the fans will most likely abide by this request.
Aaron Rodgers has one request for fans of the #Packers, who play five of their next six at home:
“My only ask is that we don’t do the wave when we’re on offense.”

Rodgers isn’t asking the fans to stay silent during their drives. He’s simply asking for the crowd to avoid doing the wave until after their drive is over.
The wave has become a tradition for stadiums all across the world. Don’t expect to see it at Lambeau Field this year unless the Packers defense is on the field.
