Earlier this week, Aaron Rodgers made his triumphant return to the Green Bay Packers after threatening to never play for the team again.
The reigning NFL MVP reportedly made one demand before coming back, though. He wanted the Packers to trade for one of his former teammates: wideout Randall Cobb.
Well, the Packers wasted no time making sure Cobb was part of their future plans after Rodgers made it clear he wanted his former teammate. On Wednesday morning, Cobb announced his return to Lambeau. “I’m coming home,” he said in a statement on Twitter.
That move obviously made Rodgers happy, but other Packers teammates liked the move as well. Star wide receiver Davante Adams is happy to have Cobb back on the field, but he’s waiting for one more: Jordy Nelson.
“I’m ecstatic. I’m just waiting on Jordy, now. It’ll be complete,” Adams told reporters on Wednesday afternoon.
Davante Adams asked how he feels about Randall Cobb returning to #Packers: "I'm ecstatic. I'm just waiting on Jordy, now. It'll be complete."

Cobb played in 10 games with Houston last season, registering 38 receptions for 441 yards and three touchdowns. In his final season with the Packers in 2018, he caught 38 passes for 383 yards and two scores in nine appearances.
He flashed during his one season with the Dallas Cowboys in 2019, catching 55 passes for 828 yards and three touchdowns.
He’ll help complete a Packers receiving corps that needed some depth last season after a series of injuries.
