Despite having a clear need at wide receiver, the Green Bay Packers used both their first-round picks on defensive players.

With the 22nd pick in the 2022 NFL Draft, the Packers selected Georgia linebacker Quay Walker. Six picks later, they selected Georgia defensive lineman Devonte Wyatt.

After both picks were officially announced, NFL fans went on Twitter to crack jokes at Aaron Rodgers' expense.

There are plenty of fans who believe Rodgers has to be frustrated with the Packers' draft strategy.

Rodgers commented on the Packers' draft picks while on The Pat McAfee Show. Contrary to what fans think, he's OK with the Packers selecting two defensive players in the first round.

“I’m sure Packer nation will be wondering why we didn’t take a receiver or trade up or what not,” Rodgers said. “At this point, you’ve just got to have some faith in the organization and faith in whoever we bring in tomorrow and the rest of this draft, I’m going to put in the time to make it work with those guys."

The Packers could address their need at wide receiver on Day 2. Perhaps they'll target George Pickens out of Georgia or Alec Pierce from Cincinnati.
