On Thursday night, the Green Bay Packers hosted the Philadelphia Eagles in what has turned into an early "must-win" for Carson Wentz and the 1-2 Eagles.

The game took a nasty turn early in the first quarter when Eagles defensive lineman Derek Barnett hit Packers running back Jamaal Williams in very illegal fashion.

Barnett came in after the whistle and hit Williams directly in the helmet. After the hit, Williams appeared to go limp before being carted off the field.

The Packers released an injury update for the running back after the scary hit.

Green Bay ruled Williams out for the rest of the game. He's been taken to a local medical facility, but has feeling in all of his extremities.

It's good to hear positive news regarding Williams' injury after the scary hit.

Fans watching from home immediately suggested Barnett should be kicked out of the game for the illegal hit.

The former Tennessee star received a flag for unnecessary roughness, but remained in the game.

While Williams is out of the game, wide receiver Davante Adams has taken over. He's racked up nearly 150 receiving yards on seven receptions midway through the second quarter.

Green Bay holds a 13-7 lead over Philadelphia.
