When the Green Bay Packers take the field in 2020, a familiar face won't be there. The Packers are expected to cut ties with tight end Jimmy Graham.

According to a report from NFL Network insider Ian Rapoport, the Packers will move on from the league's highest-paid tight end. It's not a surprising move given Graham's hefty price tag.

Green Bay would be on the hook for over $11 million if Graham remained on the roster in 2020. By moving on from the former NFL star, the Packers can save $8 million in cap space.

It's a prudent move for the organization as they try to put a full compliment of weapons around quarterback Aaron Rodgers. Perhaps the team will go after a free agent tight end like Austin Hooper to fill the void left by Graham's exit.

Here's the new from Rapoport.

Graham struggled to make his mark on the Packers after signing a lucrative deal with the team.

In two seasons in Green Bay, Graham racked up just 93 receptions for 1083 yards and five touchdowns. He never turned into the target the Packers wanted when the brought him in.

Green Bay is expected to be active in free agency and via the draft to add weapons to its offense.
