Minnesota Vikings wide receiver Adam Thielen did not practice today due to an undisclosed illness, the team announced.
Thielen is coming off his best performance of the season, a seven-catch, 130-yard, two touchdown output against the outmatched New York Giants. Minnesota plays the Philadelphia Eagles and their vulnerable secondary this Sunday.
If Thielen is good to go, he could be in line for another big game. The Vikings prefer to be a run-based attack, but the Eagles have the league’s top rushing defense.
Right now, even though he did not practice today, there doesn’t seem to be any indication that Thielen won’t play Sunday. His status is worth monitoring though.

For the season, Thielen has 20 receptions for 309 yards and four touchdowns in five games. He six-year pro is coming off consecutive 1,000-yard seasons.
The Vikings and Eagles will kick off at 1 p.m. ET Sunday from U.S. Bank Stadium in Minneapolis.
Both teams are 3-2 and looking to establish themselves in the playoff race.
