The Minnesota Vikings are likely going to be without star wide receiver Adam Thielen, who has not practiced in weeks. But the news is a little less grim for running back Dalvin Cook, who also appeared on the injury report this week.
According to ESPN NFL insider Adam Schefter, Cook was not listed on the last injury report before their Sunday game against the Detroit Lions. Based on that, Schefter asserted that Cook will be good to go.
Cook has been an essential part of the Vikings offense this season. He has recorded career-highs in carries, yards, touchdowns, receptions and receiving yards.
The 24-year-old running back from FSU currently leads the NFL in rushing touchdowns with 12.
Vikings’ RB Dalvin Cook is not listed on the team’s injury report for Sunday’s game against Detroit, despite aggravating his shoulder injury Monday night. As Cook predicted, he’s a go.

Minnesota is currently 8-4 – three games ahead in the NFC wildcard chase, but only one game back from Green Bay in the NFC North race.
With three of their last four games at home, the Vikings have a chance to assert themselves as a Super Bowl contender.
Having Dalvin Cook will be a big part of that.
