The DeAndre Hopkins-Cardinals trade might go down as the biggest NFL trade of the year. But there are rumors circulating that it won’t be last blockbuster to take place today and one star wideout just dropped an interesting message.
Taking to Twitter on Monday, Minnesota Vikings WR Stefon Diggs had a cryptic message for his 271,000 followers. He wrote “it’s time for a new beginning” and left it at that. The tweet comes mere hours after the Vikings reached a contract extension with QB Kirk Cousins.
If there was one star wideout who seems like an ideal candidate to be part of a blockbuster trade this week, it’d be Diggs. He is coming off a career year that saw him record 63 catches for a career-high 1,130 receiving yards. He had more than twice as many receiving yards as the Vikings’ No. 2 receiver this past year, RB Dalvin Cook.
Despite his strong year, though, Diggs missed the Pro Bowl.

In five years with the Vikings, Diggs has put together a pretty stellar resume. He has 365 receptions for 4,623 yards and 30 touchdowns, with another 159 yards rushing.
Most famously, he made the game-winning 61-yard touchdown reception in Minnesota’s 2017 Divisional Game against the New Orleans Saints. That play would come to be known as the Minneapolis Miracle.
If Diggs really is poised to leave Minnesota, a lot of Vikings fans will miss him.
Is Stefon Diggs really about to be traded?
